I have a user that has Access 2003. They can create new databases without any
problem. When they go to open a currently created database whether by
double-clicking the database file or opening Access and using the Open dialog
box, the database does not open. They receive no error messages. I have tried
creating the databases in 2000 and 2002/3 formats. Neither work when trying
to re-open them. The O/S is Windows XP Pro SP1 (can't go to SP2 yet do to
other software compatibility issues. Other PCs with same config work
flawlessly). I have the latest Office 2003 Service Pack and patches
installed. I downloaded and installed MDAC 2.8 and Jet DB 4 SP8. Neither of
them helped. Has anyone had this problem before and know of a fix?
