Opening a database

Hello
A friend gave me an Access program but I can't access the database directly
only through the UI. It's as though it was an executable or some such thing.
I can navigate the interface just fine but I want the databases as I am
retoolling a UI for it. It's in Access 2000. How can I pull the database?

thanks for any input
Steve

It seems to be enclosed all in one "package" that I have been given. I can
scroll through the records and see there are about 1500 of them but what I'm
not seeing is the pane that is usually on the left titled all Access objects.
From there I could copy or export a table but the pane is not visible. This
was built in Access 2000 and I'm viewing it in 2007. thanks

Without knowing how this was "packaged" it would be hard to say, but have you
tried to import the A2000 tables into A2007?
