Opening a live website

D

Dan

I submitted this a week ago - trying again.
I have two systems with FP2003, at some point I lost the ability to open a
live website from my laptop. I don't get a prompt for a password.
I tried from the browser, (suggesting in last response) it just opens the
page, no prompt for PW, and it is just the html for that page, not the FP
contents.

I deleted all webs from my Network Places didn't help -

I put SP2 (XP) on both systems the same weekend - can still open a site with
my one system.

thanks in advance,
dan

In the laptop use windows search and find and delete all files named *.web and then open FrontPage
and try to open a web.

Ok - I deleted the .web files, had 25 of them on the system, still won't
open, but I get an error msg,
The folder http://www.... is not accessable. It may be protected by a
password.....

other ideas?

The folder "http://Website" isn't accessible. The folder may be located on
an unavailable volume or protected with a password.
