Opening a new form from the main form

I have a main event form and I have a drop down list box for partner
organizations. As the person is entering the information for the event into
the main form, I would like for them to be able to search the list box for
the partner organization. If the partner is not there, I have it set up to
click on a control button to open the partner form and enter the information.
I have a control box for after collecting the information, it closes the
partner form and goes back to the main form. however the partner list does
not update unless I close the main form completly, thus loosing what I just
entered in the main form? Is there any suggestions on how to get around this
issue?
