I have a vb.net application which opens Access through Interop. The Access
database is password protected. I have set up the command to open the
database by passing the password in the command. This has worked fine up
until a short while ago. A short while ago I started seeing an Access dialog
box asking for the password. The funny thing is, the program will continue
(and be able to perform commands in Access) even if I do nothing and do not
type in the password. Still, I do not want the users to see Access at all and
to be confused (most don't even know the password).
I am thinking there is a possiblity that a Windows Update that was installed
on my computer is causing Access to ask for a password. But I can't figure
out which update it might be, or even if that is the problem. I would really
like to get to the bottom of this; if anyone has any ideas I would greatly
appreciate it.
