Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Hi,
I have just migrated to Mac from a laptop using Windows XP and Microsoft Office Professional 2007.
How do I open and use previously created Microsoft Publisher documents
in Office for Mac? All my business stationery is in this fomat.
There does not appear to be a Microsoft Publisher for Mac why???
All help gratefully received
Thanks
Don

Not to be sarcastic, but the "why???" is that Microsoft doesn't produce it
for Mac. That's about the only honest answer we can give you. IIRC it may
have at one time but has long since discontinued it.

AFAIK there is no Mac program (or other PC app, for that matter) that can
read the Publisher format with any acceptable degree of success. Even
DataViz (file conversion standard of the industry) offers nothing in any of
their products that handles .pub files.

Ewwww... You're screwed! :)

Go back to your PC and Save As those PUB files as RTF or .DOCX, then bring
those versions over.

Microsoft Publisher never attracted enough sales to make it worth porting
cross-platform. There are real Publishing applications available on the Mac
that do a much, much better job that MS Publisher.

Have a look here:
