Opening Documents Sent in Excel

I have received some documents that are in excel and
cannot open them.At one time I downloaded a program from
Microsoft that would let me open them but had to reboot
my system so i loss the program.So is this program
available and where.

This program allows you to view an Excel file. You cannot work with
the file, only view it.
