Opening documents using right click and "Open with"

how do I add a program to the "Open with" list. The program I want is not on
the list and it will not run if I choose it with the browser. I can open it
separately.

Thank you Ebloch for your reply, but how do I add the program? All I get is
a folder when I follow the route you gave me, and the programs in it are not
the ones I get when I right click on a document - am I doing something wrong?

What you add to the SendTo menu is a shortcut to the program you want to
use.

The easiest way is to select an existing shortcut from Start > All Programs
and use <Copy> & <Paste> functions.

I did add the shortcut as you described, but it does not appear in the "Open
with" list so not sure what to do now.

I am using WinXP Home SP3.

When you use "Start > Run > type SendTo > click OK" you should end up in the
folder
C:\Documents and Settings\(YouUserName)\SendTo
which you can use Windows Explorer to get to also.

Maybe you must be logged in as an Administrator to do this.
