Opening Emails in OLK Temp Internet by default

Hi,

I have a computer here that is opening emails attachments in a peculiar way
and these cannot be printed. For instance the following is a flyer that was
sent via email:

C:\Documents and Settings\Ann.KAI\Local Settings\Temporary Internet
Files\OLK22\Flyer.doc

Can anyone help with this? Thanks

Thank you, but this seems to apply to an error message. We get no error
message. The problem is that the Word document in the email opens in
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files
instead of opening up in Word.

Attachments in messages need to be written to disk before they can be
opened. By defauilt, Outlook uses the "Outlook Secure Temp Folder", a
subfolder of "Temporary Internet Files" to create the file that will then
open with whatever application is associated with the file's extension.
Your second sentnece above makes no sense. You can't open in a folder
instead of an application. Exactly what do you see on the screen?

I see the Word Document, only it is open in C:\Documents and
Settings\Ann.TAI\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\OLK22\Flyer.doc

Thank you for trying. I discovered that the My Computer Folder Options for
DOC were not set to open as a Microsoft Word Document, but were instead set
to open as HTML.
