opening MAC Excel file in Windows Excel 2002

Hi
Someone sent me a file created on his MAC Excel which my Windows Excel 2002
will not open. Don't know if it is a problem because it was created in MAC
or a matter of version.

Is there a way to make my Excel open it?

Hi Jeff

The Mac thing shouldn't matter. But if it's an xlsx file from Mac Excel2008
then you need Excel2007 for windows to open it.
Or a converter, there is a file converter for xlsx files from around here
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/excel/HA100775611033.aspx but do not
expect a perfect result, you are down-grading the file.
