Opening mail attachments.

Hi. I'd like to delete Office 2003, and use Open Office. But the question I
have is: once I've done that, how do I change my settings to open mail
attachments using it? Is this possible to open Office files/programs using
Open Office? And the programs that coincide with Office 2003 eg power
point=?, eg. Please help. If this sounds confusing, I'll try and explain in
the next message.

If you uninstall MS Office and then install Open office, you will get the
opportunity to tell OO to open MS Office documents by default. OO will open
all Office documents but you will find that some of the formatting may go
awry, and if you use VBA or macros then you may run into problems there.
Be aware though that OO does NOT contain an email client.....
