Snoproblem

I have Windows XP Pro. and Office 10 and am trying to view MDI files saved in
Windows 2000 Pro, Office??. It doesn't seem to recognize the MDI extension.
Since I no longer have Windows 2000 and Office ?? , are all my MDI files lost
or can I load them somehow?

I have tried. MS Office Document Imaging only list TIFF extensions as those
which it recognizes. Also when I stipulate that MS Off Doc Imag be the
default application to open MDI files, I get an error message that the file
is unrecognizable. I have looked for settings that I can change and no dice.
I have read somewhere that Office 2003 are only MS apps that recognize MDI
files. ?????

Yes you are correct to say that only Office 2003 installs appropriate
mdi file readers. If you don't have Office 2003 then try installing
trial version of Office 2003. This product will allow you to print all
your mdi documents.

Trial versions are available from MS website.

Thank you so much. I have installed just the office tools of the trial
version of Office 2003 and instead of printing the MDI files off, I converted
them to Tiff files using "Save as". What a life saver.... Thanks again
