Opening messages saved to folders outside of Outlook

Good Morning All,

I hope that someone can help me with this question. I have moved messages
to project folders on my hard drive using the right click and drag procedure.
When I open the folder and double click on the messsage it won't open the
Outlook name just blinks in the taskbar.

Our IT consultant believes that there must be some authorization that is not
set correctly but can not find it.

Any suggestions?

Try dragging it back into your outlook. See if you can do that.

I have tried that but to no avail. Also, I neglected to include in the
original note that I am using Outlook 2003. Thinking about this issue I
believe that it must be a setting that some one has changed (I'm not the
original user on this computer) because other folks in the office with the
same version of Outlook are able to open the messages "remotely".

If your comfortable using them you could try some of these switches
with outlook. One of them most likely will do the trick
