When holding down the CTRL key and highlighting more than
one file to open at a time (should be no big deal, other
programs have no problem doing it) an error message
displays, "This program has performed an illegal operation
and will be shut down." The user has no choice but to
click okay and lose any work in progress. Microsoft's
error reporting has really taken a turn for the worse, and
searching for problems and paying for simply reporting the
error only proves MS's lack of dedication to its
customers. Workaround: don't open more than one file at a
time, but Word should have to work around me, not me
