OPening of Powerpoint file giving error

We have prepared Powerpoint presentaion in Powerpoint 2000
and now if we try to open the file we are getting error as
follows and the file is not getting open:

Powerpoint can't open the type of file represented by
c:\03oct.ppt

Please advise us solution for the same.
