Opening PP 97 presentations in PP 2002

When I open Powerpoint 97 presentations in Powerpoint 2002
some of the formatting has gone weird - extra spacing and
bullet points which have changed. Is there a way to
convert the old presentations to Powerpoint 2002 formats?

Thanks!

Marianne,

Is this happening on the same PC?

As it sounds like (formatting, spacing etc) the fonts used in the original
powerpoint 97 presentations are perhaps not on your current PC.

The formats are the same, but as TAJ sez, it might be a font problem.

Another thing I've noticed is that between '97 and later versions, blank
lines are treated differently. If memory serves, later versions ignore
blank lines (ie, where the user presses ENTER to add space between lines ...
the wrong way of going about it, by the way) but earlier versions will show
a bullet for every paragraph, blank or not.
