Opening start menu folders

I have folders in my start menu that open folders that I use in our network.
Up until recently, I was able to drill down to subfolders there and right
click to open these in separate windows (either with the Open or Explore
command).

Now, when I select Open or Explore, nothing happens. Any ideas?

This isn't related to, or caused by the MS Office applications. You may
wish to pose your question to the experts in the group that is for your
operating system. Perhaps WindowsXP.general?

No problem, good luck in the quest! BTW- Windows System Restore may be a
solution.
