This SP3 is driving me crazy! I installed SP3 for Office
XP Small Business. Now when I open up my MS Word mail-
merge document I am always prompted with

"Opening this document will run the following SQL
command:SELECT * FROM C:\(fill in location of my file)
Data from your database will be placed into the
document. Do you want to continue?"

Of course the idea is to use the information from the
stated data file, but why am I asked this question? It
seems the general consensus is that SP3 is more headache
than its worth. I even tried to uninstall it in
Add/Remove Programs but I don't see it listed.
*ahhhhh!!!*
Micro$haft rears its ugly head once again. Any help is
always appreciated.

Thank you for sending me this link. Unfortunately, I
don't know a thing a VBA. Is there a way to prevent the
message from displaying another way?

Hmmm. I hadn't really read the link through. It does seem to be saying
that you need to modify the registry and then use the VBA command. I'm not
sure if that's quite right. I came across this recently at a client's where
I only did the registry modification and then the warning stopped coming up
without me having to do anything in VBA. Sadly I don't have a system
available to test this on. I'd try just doing the registry thing and see if
that sorts things out.

Rob,
Thank you for taking the time to research this for me.
My boss is going to try this on his home computer before
we touch the office computer! Thank you again!!
