Opening Word 2000

Hi,

When I try to open Word 2000, the blue box with Word 2000
on it sits there with the hour glass running for about 20
seconds, then a rectangular box comes up and says
"system resources dangerously low" then the only way you
can get past this is to reboot the computer. Every thing
else on the computer works fine, except for this problem.
I can't get into Word at all. I ran the install discs
yesterday, but I didn't uninstall the old Word off the
system, this didn't help the problem. Should I completely
uninstall Word first? If any one has any ideas, I would
greatly appreciate some help.

i am having the EXACT same problem as you and even DELL

couldn't help me out. if you get any replies, please let
me know! i'm a college student and not having Word is
seriously impairing my ability to write all my papers!
