opening word 2003

When I open my word program I get a doc. that I have
already made before with what I had typed on it.
And when I use outlook its still their. I have to delete
it to do anything. but its still their when i open a new
one.
I would like to be able to open Word to a Plain page.(
nothing on it)

It sounds like your normal template has been modified.
You need to search your hard drive to find this file, and
then rename it, to something like "Normal.old" If
Normal.dot is renamed or moved, Word automatically creates
a new version (which uses the default settings) the next
time that you start Word. The new version will not include
any customizations you made to the previous file.
