opening word doc hangs

Hello,

I have been trying unsuccessfully to open a Word doc and
it keeps giving me a not responding message. I have
tried deleting registry keys in HKEY_Current_User;
winword /a, detect and repair, etc. Obviously a corrupt
file. How can I recover it?

Thanks but nothing from that link ever worked. I ended
up finding a tool on the net that repairs corrupt Office
files.
