Opening word files....second post...please help!!!!!

Everytime I try to open a file in Word 2003, by clicking
on the word file itself word starts up but the document
does not load. It has a blank word screen with nothing on
it. If I go back to the file a click it again it loads up
all the way. I also can open files from the File open
menu. I just cannot open them by double clicking on the
file name. Can someone help me with this?? Thanks in

Just tried your suggestion "winword /a" That did not
help. Any other sugesstions??
