openoffice document got corrupted while trying to opened in word

I have an original document made in "open office" I tried opening it with
word after I intalled the program and now the document is unreadable in both
word or open office. Could any one tell me how to get it right again?

erm...the Word document converter in OOo is not that reliable as you can
see...you might try the OOo support forums...
