OpenOffice.org 2.4 (en-US) Installation Files?

Is this an Office folder? It appeared on my desktop a few days ago or I
probably would of never noticed it buried deep in the heart of my laptop. It
was created a few months after my purchase so it was a download. I have
downloaded quite a bit from microsoft office. Reason I name them is when i
put the folder name in my internet search I'm taken to windows live gallery.
Then again I do allow my son to use my laptop also so he could had put a
download on here that I definitely don't want. This would not be his norm but
who knows?...not "I" !!! I can not open the folder either, only explore. I
have no clue what all these files are, some are pretty much self explanatory
but definitely not the majority.
size...131 MB (137,756,672 bytes)
contains 37 files, 3 folders.
When I search my "help" area it returns no results.

OpenOffice has nothing to do with Microsoft Office. I'd say it's a competing
product, except for the fact that it's free... http://www.openoffice.org/

Perhaps you recently upgraded your version of the Java Runtime, and forgot
to uncheck the option related to Open Office.

Yeah Douglas is right,

Openoffice is the freeware version of the Microsoft officesuite. It
can read most MS Office files but the database element of it is very
different. It's a great little suite if you want to build a cheap
computer for someone to do spreadsheets and word processing.

But back to the point, no it is nothing to do with MS Office suite.
