Operation failed

Many times when I click on "send & receive", I get the
message "Operation failed"-But NOT "Object could not be
found".

I have to resatrt my computer in order to get mu e-mail.

I am running Windows XP-Pro, SP-1 & Outlook 2002, SP-2
