My Department is in the process of migrating to a new server. Up until now I
have placed the host (master design) database with secure folder and
accompanying backup in a hidden folder on the server. With the integration
of the new server no hidden folders will be allowed.
IT can setup a folder that gives certain rights to my team, however if
posted in this folder the users replicating to my database cannot synchonize
their data (because it is restricted access).
Without using a hidden folder, what is the optimal solution in setup so that
users can upload and download data into a secured folder? Is there a way to
allow users to synchronize to a database stored in a restricted folder using
code?
