Option to remove attachments when auto-forwarding mail

Matt

It would be really helpful if the Outlook Rules Wizard had an option to
remove attachments before auto-forwarding an email.

I currently use the Rules Wizard to auto-forward job-related email to my
mobile phone. However, in many instances the incoming emails have large
attachments which prevent the forwarded email from being accepted by my phone.

I've got Outlook 2000 currently, and this is the only additional feature
that I would like (but which hasn't appeared in later versions).

You could apply the size exception to the rule.

When creating the rule, start from a blank rule.
Select the condition (like emails addressed to my work address)
Select the action (like forward to cell address)
then Select the exception 'Except where size exceeds <input threshold>'
