Options in combo based on previous combo

I want to build a form in which a product is chosen based on the values
chosen in nine different combo boxes. I want the values in combo2 to be
restricted based on the choice in combo1, the values in combo3 to be
restricted based on the choice in combo2, and so on. Once all combo
boxes have been populated, there may be numerous options that would be
appropriate, so I suspect the combo boxes would be in a form, the
results would be displayed in a subform. How do I make the combo box
restrictions work?
