'Options' not activated under Excel's "Tools" menu

Hi All,

I have an issue with Excel where when I select Tools, then Options from
the main menu, the Options form is not shown?

Would anyone know how the Options pop-up is controlled in VB and how it
can been re-activated or restored to its default, or show the form it
should?

The Options tab in the menu is viewable as normal and has not been
greyed out, and just does nothing when it is selected.

Any help would be appreciated,

I think the first thing I would do is reset that toolbar.

Tools|Customize|toolbars tab
select worksheet menu bar
hit the reset button

then test it out...

It doesn't sound like this is the problem, but you may want to check it:

sounds like it describes your Tools|Options problem (it says it was corrected in
xl97 SR2).
