Options to check If Machine has MS office and which version it has

Hi,

My requirement is to check whether MS Office is installed on a machine or not and if installed, the version of the MSOffice that is installed on it.

I want to check the version from the path

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office

As there are many files in the folder, I am unable to know from which file I will be able to check the version number.

Hello,

Posting an answer so that it may help others.

The best way to find the version is to open either Word or Excel. Click on File and then click on Help. Once you click on Help, you would get the version number along with activation status.
