ORG CHART-POWER POINT-RESIZE AUTOSHAPE TO FIT TEXT INACTIVE

I am taking a course and the moment I am doing powerpoint org charts. I am
using office 2003 and the command to resize autoshape to fit text is
inactive can this be reactivated so the font size required can be used ,
