Org chart shapes: How do I add or display borders to Blocks?

How can I add/Display borders around the Blocks inside an Organization Chart
Shape?

Please note the separation between Block 2 and Block 3.

Your drawing is a little confusing. Not sure what Block2 and Block3 are?
Perhaps a bit more description...

The shape is divided into a top and a much larger bottom section. The top
section is divided in to two by a vertical line in the middle.

Yep! Kinda figured that part! :)

So, since I've been sleeping these past 20 some odd years, when I last
checked, this wasn't a standard Org Chart Shape. Have things changed? If
this is a custom shape, how was it made?

Must've slept wrong, gotta kink in my neck.

My drawing was admittadley poor attempt to demonstrate the type of shape I
want to make. I'm using Visio 2003, and a typical Org Chart shape is
divided into 5 blocks. I want to display borders around the two upper blocks.

We used to create org charts with this design in visio 2002, using data
dumped from peoplesoft 7. We recently upgraded to peoplesoft 8.9 and visio
2003, and now we can't use the old design that everyone is accustom to.

Hope that clarifies. . . ?

Thanks.

I leaped frogged from Tech4.1 to V2003. The Org Chart shapes I've seen only
have the lower section with Name/Title. I don't believe there is any way to
edit the existing shapes nor is there a way to place them in a group.

Perhaps someone else has had better luck...they'll come

Look at the menu Organization Chart -> Options -> Fields
You can set which bit of data appears at what place within the shapes.
Each field is set within a subshape, I've tried setting the shape line
style for a subshape but it gets overwritten !

There is a way of creating modified Org Chart shapes in Visio 2003, but it
is clunky. All of the alternative masters have to be modified within the
document stencil of a new template.

Can you please provide a bit more detail on how to modify the document
stencil shapes?

I have been trying, but with no luck, nothing sticks. . . :(
