organizing autothumbnail and button JPG & HTML files

My site has grown into a mess. Each time I create a new page with buttons and
auto thumbnails of pictures, FrontPage also creates a corresponsing JPG or
HTMIL files. These files are stored in my websites root directory. My website
file system has become overrun with all of these files. Is there a way to
direct the program to store the associated button and thumbnail files in a
specific folder?

You need to create folders, import the images to the folders and then create the photo
gallery inside the folder.

Thanks Steve,

I do put the original photos inside a unique folder. When I do an auto
thumbnail within a webpage, FrontPage takes the name of the picture file,
adds _small.jpg to it, and stores it in my root directory. I use thumbnails
alot so I have ended up with alot of these files. Thanks for your help.

When you save the page, you are given the opportunity to also save the
thumbnails. In this dialogue choose to change the folder the images are
saved in.
You can always (within FrontPage) move the saved thumbnails to a folder of
your choice - providing there is no JavaScript that references the
thumbnails. FrontPage will maintain any ordinary links, but will not manage
scripted links. (The links produced by auto-thumbnail are ordinary links,
links produced by a FrontPage photogallery may be scripted.)
