I am looking forward to the public release of Windows 2007. I currently am
using Office Home & Student 2007 on XP. Will I have to purchase a license to
use the program I originally purchased on a new computer, or can I just
re-load it?

Thanks in advance.

If it was supplied with the PC, its an OEM version and as such is locked to
that PC, but to be sure check the EULA in eg Word (Word Options, from the
Orb Btn)

Just because you change the operating system doesn't mean that you will lose
the use of the license. What will happen in this case is that when you
install the Win 7 operating system from scratch (overwriting the XP install)
you will totally overwrite the hard drive losing anything that is on it (in
all probability.) You will need to back up all data files you need to keep.
All programs will need to be reinstalled from the "original" install media.
In your case from the original install media that would either be the CD/DVD
or the downloaded file (saved to an external media) for your Office 2007.
You would use your original installation key from the CD/DVD package or from
the email you received when you purchased the product.
