OT Internet Marketers

Joe Rohn

Hi Folks,

I have a number of clients who continually ask me how they can do better on
search engines. I am very much aware of the correct ways to manually submit
to the major ones, and also products such as Wep Position Gold, Submit Wolf,
etc. I know that hand submitting is always best but many of these clients
feel they either don't understand, or don't want to be bothered. I also tell
them that doing Internet Marketing is something that I don't do. It's
relatively easy to stay on top of these things when you are only concerned
with one site..but with multiple sites I simply do not have the time to do
this.

So my question to the group is.... do any of you have any products or
services that you use successfully for this?

TIA

Hi Joe,

I don't know about the others, but it's been my experience lately
that search engines are *keying* more and more upon
page titles and actual page content,
( Yep, I mean <title> Page title </title> )
and that meta keywords and description tags are becoming
more and more ignored.

As for search engine ranking services, I've *never* used one.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for your input! Much appreciated. I hear you about never having used
services like that..I never have either. I am comfortable with the right and
wrong ways to construct pages with titles, descriptions, metas etc. Actually
IMHO even getting good positions on SE's isn't and end all and be all
anyways. My dilemma is coming from answering so many questions as to "Why
can't I find my page 1st when I type this in" <g> I tell my clients over and
over that this is an extremely competitive situation and there are no
guarantees as to where or when you will be found..if you get listed at all!
I try my best to craft pages and text that I feel will do somewhat well..go
of to DMOZ The Open Directory Project and apply for the site. Every
application I have ever put in there eventually gets listed..along with the
offshoots like Google, Yahoo Web Pages, etc. What I am hoping to find are
reputable marketers... I'm sure there must be at least 1 <g>... and let my
clients deal with them on these situations..since that is what they are
supposed to do!

IMHO
"reputable marketers" in that area is an oxymoron (-;
