OT - JPEG Photo Compression Program

G

Galen

Would anyone recommend a good JPEG compression to download somewhere?
I have used a few but they all have expiration dates. To me, it seems
like a tool like this would be free - such a basic element to webpage
creation. Anyway,

Does anyone have any recommendations for programs w/a web address?
Thank you.

Irfanview is a good one, and it's free:

lots of people have their favorites but my absolute hands down favorite is
smartsaver pro from www.ulead.com it's got fabulous batch mode capabilities
for doing whole folders, you can even compress certain areas of an image
more than others, there's also a nice "slicer" built into it that does
JavaScript stuff for you like "remote rollovers" etc.
It's a heck of a utility program.
