otlk 2K - Choose email From?

Hi,

I am using Outlook 2000. I have two internet email
accounts setup in my profile. When I create an email, is
there a way I can select which it gets sent from?

Currently, my email always gets sent from the same
account. Even if I make the "From" field visible and
enter the other account, when it is received, it shows up
as being from the original account "on behalf of" the
account that I typed in.

There should be an "Accounts" button next to the Send.

Don't use the From field -- that field is really only used for sending
messages as a delegate for someone else, when you're in an Exchange Server
environment. I assume you're using Outlook 2000 in Internet Mail Only mode
since you have two internet accounts in your profile (you can check this at
the second line of Help | About Microsoft Outlook). If so, you should have
a down arrow on the Send button in a new mail message, which will allow you
to choose the sending account when you're ready to send the message. You
can also use the Send Using command from the File menu.

Hi Jocelyn,

Thanks for your response. Actually, I am using Outlook
2k in "Corporate or Workgroup" mode. The reason is that
I use Microsoft Mail in my small peer-to-peer office
network. For a long time I've been using MS mail along
with one internet mail account. Now, I've added a second
internet mail account. It seems that I am able to
control which account mail gets set from by going to
Tools | Services | Delivery tab and moving the account I
want to send mail from above the other account, but for
this change to take effect, I think I have to restart
Outlook. Is there no way for me to use File | Send Using
or to the the account selection dropdown on my Send
button in Corporate or Workgroup mode?

Unfortunately, no -- C/W mode pretty much forces you to switch the delivery
order. Your other option is to create separate mail profiles for your
internet accounts, but again, you would have to close and restart Outlook to
