Oulook 2007/2003 with Outlook Connector Never Closes properly... W

hi all,

I use Office Windows XP/Outlook 2003 in my work place and Windows
Vista/Office 2007 at my home and I use outlook connector at both place to get
my hotmail mails. I have put my outlook in startup of windows so that it
automatically stats and when i shutdown the system it closes by itself.

Until I use Outlook connector, the startup and shutdown had no problems at
all. But once i started using outlook connector,

1. In XP PC outlook 2003 does not close the program automatically. ie., when
i press shutdown, it says outlook not responding do you wsh to end the prog
with options "End Now" and "cancel". So what i usually do is close outlook
first before shutdown. Before using outlook connector i did not have this
problem.

2. In Vista PC with Outlook 2007, It closes the program without warning /
asking to close the program deliberately but when i restart the machine,
Outlook always checks for problems with data files and says outlook was not
closed properly the previous time. I also did not have all these problems
before using outlook connector.

So how to get rid of this problem. If this is a problem that is known, whill
ther be a fix ?

thanks.

Hi,

If outlook is still running when you shut down the computer, data write/read
may stop unexpectedly, then some data would corrupt. So to avoid data
corruption and lost, we recommend customer close outlook first and then
shutdown the machine. If outlook close abnormally, then when you launch
outlook.exe, it will scan and ensure all the data is in good status.

So the symptoms you met is normal, please do not shutdown computer with
outlook running.

Besides, if you need more help on Outlook related, then I recommend you to
post the issue in Newsgroup for Outlook, here is the forum for Exchange
related issue.
