Out of memory error Office 2003 and Vista Ultimate

Cannot change assistant on office 2003 out of memory error even though I have
2GB of memory

Not a fix, just a work-around:

Start>Control Panel>Unistall Program>
Highlight MS Office 2003. click on Change Program.
Click Custom Install>Expand Office Assistant and make all the assistants
unavailable (by right click) EXCEPT the assistant you want. Next time you
start Office, your chosen assistant appears by default. (Gallery still reads
"not enough memory..." though.)
