Out of Office creating massive spam influx

Hello,

Since joining a company using Exchange 2000 (then 2003, now 2007), I'v
STOPPED using the Out of Office Assistant because, whenever I turn i
on, I come back to an inbox/junk folder REPLETE with spam (is that th
right word?). I could swear that previous versions of Exchange worke
better...

So I was thrilled, when we upgraded our Exchange (is it 2007, now?), t
see that I could isolate my OOA replies to INTERNAL users only.

So I turned it on, for a week -- and came back to an inbox/junk folde
- AGAIN - full of spam.

What could this be from? I've virus scanned my PC and Outlook.
wonder if someone in my organization could have a virus and, when the
email me and get the OOA message, the virus sends my email address t
external spammers??

My exchange administrator has other concerns -- and doesn't see
problem with this, and/or no one else reports it to him. I am a proble
solver, and want to find a fix.

Any ideas?

Thanks
M

Sounds like you are NOT isolating to internal users, and that your Exchange
guy, who appears to be autonamous, won't investigate and change settings.

Guess you're out of luck, unless you can go over his head.
