I've been into tools and can't find the 'out of office
reply', I've been into tools-options and can't find it
there either. Can somebody please please spoon feed me
instructions on how to set up an 'out of office reply'.
Thanks.

Out of Office only applies when working with an Exchange mailbox via the
Exchange transport. (POP3/IMAP/SMTP users can't use this feature). If you
are working with an Exchange mailbox, then go to Tools | Options | Other |
Advanced Options | Addin manager and ensure that the Exchange Extensions are
loaded.

Thanks for responding. I did what you suggested. In the
add in manager there were two items listed next to boxes
with with ticks in. FaxExtension and
ExchangeExtensionsPropertyPage. There's also an install
option, which, when opened, had a long list of ECF
files. Is there one of those that I could install to get
Out of Office?

Try...

OUTEX.ECF
OUTEX2.ECF

/neo

ps - if you don't have either of these files, you will need to state which
version of outlook you are running. filenames have been known to change
between versions.

Are you working with outlook 2002? I have looked around
for this in the 2002 version - although I haven't found
it. The easiest thing I found to do is to set up a rule
to reply to all when received with the out of office
message.
