Out of Sync with Actuals Message

Our org runs 2007 proj server without enabling timesheet module and does our
time analysis through hours entered against tasks. When a Proj Manager tries
updating a task to 100% complete, it shows a message "your action may result
in the project becoming out of sync with the actuals updated from
timesheets". If we are not using timesheets, why would this message show up?
How can this be resolved without limiting the ability of our teammembers to
update their time against tasks through the PWA? Any insights would be great.

Hi Kahuna,

You have the setting "update tasks by PWA only" set within the server
settings. This means that you cannot update any tasks directly in Project
Pro (assuming they have an assignment). Either uncheck the box, or ask the
resource to fully update the task.
