Out of the blue MS Outlook is asking for a user ID and password

Mary, Mary quite contrary.

I installed and configured Outlook and never touched the password
permissions. Now out of the blue some of my machines are requesting login ID
and passwords?? We connect to an MS Exchange server, run XP Professional and
MS office 2000.
Can anyone tell me how to disable this feature from an admin account, can't
log on as user.
