Outbox Mail Open in 2003

This just started. When I create an e-mail and select send it goes to
Outbox. When I select send and receive the mail in the Outbox remains
there. When I look at the mail in the Outbox it indicates it has been
opened. I have tried moving it to Drafts and sending it again. Same thing,
Outbox mail is open.

Any ideas?
