Outbox not sending

C

Chris

If I create a new message in Outlook 03, and hit send (settings are such
that I must click send/recieve), then go back and alter the recipients in any
way (remove or add) then click send - The message will never go out.

It does not go immediately which I don't expect it to - and it will not go
even when hitting send/recieve. Other messages in the outbox will however be
sent.

Any clues?
Thanks!
Chris

If you edit or change anything in an email in the Outbox you must press Send
in the email itself again or it will not be sent.

I've had the same problem. The only way I've found to "fix" it is to move
the message to the inbox or drafts, then hit send again and it will go to the
outbox. If you hit send/receive again it will be sent. If you open the
outbox - even to look at the message, it will not go out when you hit send.
I have no idea why, but my "fix" works. Good luck.

I had this problem for a while. I contacted my ISP and we couldn't figure it
out until she asked if I had a spyware remover on my computer. I had only
had it 3 weeks and it was the one program I had not installed yet. I
downloaded Adaware and cleaned off my puter (man it was full of spyware) and
after that the mail sent with no problem at all.

Thanks all for the responses.

Mary - I am hitting the send button again.
Dan - I will test this out today. It's my birthday soon so something has
got to work :)
Jo - I will try this as well. It is often that I find that a user's
machineis like this. I just forget about spyware since I don't troubleshoot
all that often.

Thanks!

I have the same problem and this used to not be the case. Don't know why MS
doesn't write up a KB article on this problem.

The problem is (if you have one email in the Outbox) if you are in Outbox
and you press send again it will again change to the open envelope. This
behavior used to not be the case.
