outcmd hangin machine despite renaming

I have some laptops that hang in outlook due to outcmd.dat. we delete
the file from the user profile and it goes away for a while , the
issue then comes back a few weeks later .

we have also tried removing the copy in the default user profile thing
that it was this copy that was corrupted but stil the outcmd.dat file
that is created for a new user hangs the machines after a few weeks.

has anyone seen this at all or can advise a suitable work around/fix?

Try to find the cause of the outcmd.dat corruption? Do you use any add-ins
that create Toolbars automatically? See if disabling those add-ins (and then
resetting outcmd.dat) works for you.
