outgoing imap messages

I have my imap server setup as my outgoing mail server. Whenever I compose a
message within Outlook, it is stored locally in my sent mail folder. Is
there anyway I can have sent messages stored on the server in the IMAP's sent
mail folder?

So far the only way to get "sent" messages on the server is to compose them
within my mail server's webmail interface. I want to do this within Outlook.

Create a rule that will place a copy in the IMAP Sent Items folder when you
send.
