Outgoing mail not in italics and won't send.

When i try to send and e-mail, there is no date in the outbox and it's not in
italics. Any ideas why?

What version of Outlook? What sort of mail account(s)?

If you have anti-spam or anti-virus software scanning your email, turn that
off (if you have Norton, that may involve uninstalling then reinstalling
without the options).
