Outllok 2007 regularly shuts down & relaunches

Running XP. Since I installed an update a week or so ago, Outlook
"encounters an error" I believe is the imprecise phrase. It quickly
relaunches, perhaps after a short pause because "folders were not closed
properly." Always seems to happen as I receive mail.

Any suggestions?
