Outlok 2007 and SMTP - Can't send Email and Authentication fails!

N

Nebulus

Ok, I've got myself a brand new system, and Ofiice 2007. I've
configured Outlook 2007 with all my old settings and can connect to the
POP account, but am unable to connect to the SMTP accounts to send
emails.

All my accounts require authentication to send email, and so I use
these settings:
My outgoing server requires authentication
Use same settings as my incoming mail server
Outgoing SMTP: port 25
and I' tried all types of encryption: None, Auto, SSL, and TLS.

This is occuring on 4 accounts that I've got configured in Outlook
2007. I never had this issue with my old copy of 2003. Has anybody
found any solution to this issue? This is a pretty big deal, and I'm
not sure how '07 made it to market with this kind of issue.

By the way, I do have 9 years IT/code/development experience - just so
you know I'm not havung issues because of being a newb.

Thanks for any help.
